While studying at the RCA I came across a box of hangers discarded on the street. Some were the common kind we are used to finding in cheap hotels others were quite different - strange crooked shapes, extraordinarily long hooks, company names embossed into their wooden surfaces.
Struck by the variety of characters expressed by this one type of product I appealed to friends to bring more in, however strange or ordinary, so that I may make a record of them. This book is the result of that process and has proved useful reference for later hanger design projects.
The book was home-printed in small batches and sold through Zwemmers and 20/21 in London. It is not currently 'in print'.
