An exhibition design for the project 'Here and There: Australia-UK', showing the results of a series of 17 exchange residencies for jewellers and artists.
After consultation with exhibitors and curators an informal layout was devised that gave precedence to communicating process and experience over the showcasing of finished work.
The proposed scheme mimicked a studio with each exhibitor having a work space. A range of plywood furniture was produced that allowed exhibitors to be assigned elements based on what they wished to show. Desks were laid out with process work/found objects in drawers under the desks and finished work on the desk surfaces.
The exhibition has travelled to various venues in the UK and is touring Australia during 2005.
