Turned Candle
Turned Candle is a response to an invitation from French industrial designer Matali Crasset to contribute a design for a collection called WaxFab.
The collection is part of a larger project (FAB) for the Gandy Gallery in Prague showcasing objects in wax, glass and soap by designers and artists from around Europe.
The brief was to create a candle with the theme 'impertinence' - interpreted here as dishonesty in the production process (the candle appearing to have been turned when in fact it has been cast).
The candle, was made in natural wax in the Czech Republic and is no longer in production.
